Teethe, a Texas slowcore outfit, fuses fractured lo-fi textures with sleepy and intimate songwriting. Their self-titled debut from 2020 opened up a yawning, spacious atmosphere that mirrored the North Texas landscapes surrounding the group. The band sustained this approach across the 2022 singles “Tag” and “Lucky.” In 2023 they joined Houston’s Bedlocked for the 19th entry in Saddle Creek’s Document series of split singles.

While attending the University of North Texas in Denton, Boone Patrello, Grahm Robinson, Madeline Dowd, and Jordan Garrett immersed themselves in the local indie scene. The four housemates began tracking material together in 2019 after moving in the previous year, adopting the name Teethe the year after. Their self-released debut surfaced that November and showcased an uncommon blend of ambient lo-fi elements alongside measured, guitar-led compositions. Buoyed by an expanding audience, the pair of 2022 singles followed. October 2023 brought an invitation from Saddle Creek to appear on the label’s Document split alongside fellow Texans Bedlocked; Teethe’s side, “Moon,” widened their profile nationwide, prompting a deal with New York’s Winspear by the close of the year.
