Biography
Emerging from Dubuque, Iowa in 2015, the heavy psych duo Telekinetic Yeti developed an approach grounded in the doom traditions of earlier acts including Black Sabbath, Sleep, and Acid King. Guitarist and vocalist Alex Baumann joins drummer Rockwel Heim in the lineup. Constant road work paired with self-issued material such as the widely praised 2017 album Abominable helped them assemble a devoted audience. Appearances alongside peers including Clutch, Black Label Society, Red Fang, and Weedeater soon followed, while endorsements arrived from Blasko, Ozzy Osbourne’s bassist, together with numerous online metal outlets. The group secured a contract with Tee Pee Records prior to delivering its second full-length. Issued in 2022 and captured under producer Phillip Cope, whose past work encompasses Baroness, Kylesa, Damad, and Black Tusk, Primordial found the pair shaping a visceral, sorrow-tinged, and intensely heavy collection that moved across several heavy metal and hard rock styles.
