Biography
The Boston ensemble initially performed as the Pamela Martinez Band, with vocalist Pamela Martinez and keyboardist and instrumentalist Brian Hamilton forming its core as a duo. A four-song EP issued in 2005 under that name drew strong critical praise and invited comparisons to Björk. When the first full-length album, Care Package, appeared, the group adopted the name Teletextile—combining the love of fabrics with the future of music all in one go—and brought in Dan McCool and Luke Schneiders to expand the lineup with guitar and percussion for live performances.
