Biography
An adult alternative trio anchored by vocalist Leah Symons, Templecloud originated in Bath, England, around 2009 and draws on the production skills of Steve Evans and Simon Gwilliam. Before the group assembled, Symons studied at university in Bath while performing with several local ensembles; in the same period, Evans and Gwilliam each collaborated independently with various electronic acts such as Massive Attack, Goldfrapp, and Ultravox. Templecloud’s 2011 cover of Embrace’s “One Big Family” appeared in a KFC television advertisement, quickly generating online attention.
