Biography

London-based electronic outfit Tender originated in 2015 when James Cullen and Dan Cobb launched the project from a modest bedroom setup. Their initial efforts yielded several tracks that appeared via self-release, quickly drawing hundreds of thousands of SoundCloud streams through the duo’s polished, R&B-tinged sound. Buoyed by this response, Cullen and Cobb assembled their debut EP, Armour, which surfaced the same year. Output increased in 2016 with the arrival of two additional releases, EP II and EP III. The pair later aligned with Partisan Records, the Brooklyn- and London-based independent imprint, for their first full-length album. Modern Addiction reached audiences in 2017, introduced earlier by the singles “Erode” and “Nadir.”
