Thank You

Longtime friends Jeffrey McGrath, Michael Bouyoucas, and Elke Wardlaw formed the experimental post-rock outfit Thank You. They cultivated a growing audience through intricate, continuously expanding performances before issuing their debut full-length, World City, in August 2007. The Baltimore trio, whose sound layered dense atmospheres over raw, off-kilter rhythms, signed with the groove-oriented independent imprint Thrill Jockey Records and delivered Terrible Two on June 3, 2008. International dates alongside Mi Ami followed, along with the limited-edition EP Pathetic Magic, after which Elke Wardlaw departed. Drummer Emmanuel Nicolaidis stepped in to replace her and performed on the 2011 album Golden Worry.
