Biography
In 1996 the All Janet arose from the remnants of Sweatbus, introducing Sweden to their distinctive strain of infectious pop melodies anchored by Simon Malmen, the group’s sole surviving original member and its singer-guitarist. Shortly after assembling, the band secured a contract with SPEECH Records and issued its debut single, “On the Run,” before claiming local prominence with the 1997 album Grace. Despite that early traction, personnel shifts persisted for the ensuing two years. Stability arrived only in 1999, coinciding with the single “A Lot to Be Said,” which introduced drummer Fredrik Normark, guitarist Anders Petterson, and bassist Michael Johansson. Later the same year the revised lineup delivered the follow-up album In Your Quite Place.
