Biography
The Apparitions, an indie pop quartet, count members based in both Lexington, KY, and Washington, D.C., a split that has kept the musicians shuttling primarily between those two cities. Conceived by lead vocalist Mark Charles Heidinger, the group rounds out its roster with Robbie Roberts on bass, Eric Smith and Justin Craig on guitars, and Robby Cosenza on drums. Their first album, Oxygen Think Tank, surfaced in 2003 and merged tight harmonies, sunshine pop melodies, and early-'90s indie pop textures. Following a stretch of widespread and ambitious touring, the Apparitions delivered As This Is Futuristic on the Machine imprint in January of 2006.
