Biography
In 2001 the New York group Greyarea paused without a formal split, thereby freeing its members to explore separate ventures that gave rise to The Arsons. Ernie Parada, already established as singer, guitarist, and drummer, joined vocalist Marc Adams to develop songs for a rough-edged punk album and soon recruited bassist Al Volonino. Parada’s choice to step away from the drum stool brought Vinny Value aboard as drummer, after which the band concentrated on hardcore material that ultimately appeared as their self-titled debut on Chunksaah Records, the imprint run by the Bouncing Souls.
