Biography
An ultra-obscure British beat group called The Bambis issued one lone single under the name Van Dyke and the Bambis, with Les Van Dyke among the lineup, on Pye during 1964. After signing to Oriole that same year, the ensemble had its agreement briefly assumed by CBS once Columbia Records (US) acquired Oriole and thereby established CBS Records. The act then withdrew from the studio altogether after 1965, by which point it had released two singles: “Handle With Care” b/w “Not Wrong” and “Baby Blue” b/w “If This Is Love.”
