In 1991 the Bay Area gave rise to pop deconstructionists Bare Minimum, assembled by singer/guitarist Brian Speckman and guitarist Mark Pinkos. The group shifted to Seattle soon afterward and recruited bassist Anthony Champa plus drummer Joe Plummer. Rx Remedy issued their self-titled debut LP in 1995; Sub Pop followed with a single before the year closed. The 1996 EP Night We Streak preceded their 1998 return on Can't Cure the Nailbiters.
