Memphis musicians Frank Stokes and Dan Sane recorded as the blues duo Beale Street Sheiks on Paramount Records releases drawn from sessions in 1927 and 1929. Although the pair likely performed under that name when working live, they never used the moniker on any of their joint sides for Victor.
