Biography
Kyle Tallon, working solo as The Beat Chemist, has produced his own performances of ambient, breakbeat, and drum'n'bass material across his home province of Ontario, Canada. Drawing on the varied sounds of DJ Shadow, Daft Punk, the Roots, Radiohead, and Portishead, he earned notice for his reworkings of the Beastie Boys' "Intergalactic" and Bjork's "I Miss You." Alongside several mix tapes, the EP The Daybreak appeared under his own imprint in 1999.
