Biography
The formation of Beatfreakz dates to 2000, when Dutch musicians Dennis Christopher, Dimitrie Siliakus, and Mark Simmons joined forces. Multiple singles appeared on the Spinnin' imprint, among them a Hi-NRG rendering of "P.Y.T." that drew liberally from Michael Jackson's original recording. That approach yielded "Somebody's Watching Me," built around heavy samples of Rockwell's classic track sharing the same title, which earned widespread radio airplay throughout Europe and the UK and secured licensing on several dance compilations.
