Biography
Known primarily for his enduring role as frontman of skatepunk stalwarts Pennywise, Jim Lindberg also contributes vocals and guitar to his parallel outfit the Black Pacific. The project originally featured bassist Davey Latter of Everest and drummer Alan Vega from Good Guys in Black, channeling the high-velocity punk approach that cemented Pennywise as a cornerstone of the genre. Not long after the group assembled and tracked its first material, Latter exited to join Everest on the road. Lindberg subsequently enlisted bassist Gavin Caswell and ex-Dropkick Murphys guitarist Marc Orrell to round out the roster. The resulting self-titled debut, overseen by Far’s Shaun Lopez, appeared on Side One Dummy Records in 2010 and was followed by the band’s initial European tour.
