Biography
The Melbourne-based trio known as the Bluehouse fuse elements of folk, pop, blues, and rock, yielding a distinctive sound that has cultivated an audience reaching well past their Australian homeland. The three women came together as a group in 1995 after crossing paths in a local pub. Following an unfinished university period, Jacqueline Walter explored both music and body piercing. Samantha Harley, drawn to music from an early age, had been working as a teacher alongside Bernadette Carroll. In 1997 the trio issued a self-titled EP that completely sold out its initial run, then issued a live EP soon afterward. Multiple additional albums have appeared since, among them Big and 6 Minutes of Breathable Air.
