Biography
During the 1950s and 1960s the Boogie Kings stood as a fixture on the South Louisiana swamp pop circuit. After regrouping in 1991 they discovered that local audiences remained just as devoted, returning the band to Floyd Soileau’s Jin Records—the imprint on which they had first recorded. Although original members Doug Charles, Elbert Miller, and Skip Morris had moved on, Duane Yates now led the front line, allowing the Kings to keep producing their brand of satisfying swamp soul.
