Biography
Emerging from Corpus Christi, TX, the Booked stands among the rare punk and Oi! outfits to originate in that city. The five-piece lineup features Trey Garcia handling vocals, Bryan Garcia and Ray Solis sharing guitar duties, Randy Gaines on bass, and Danny Chapa behind the drums, while their lyrics address standard Oi! themes such as social classes, work, strength through unity, soccer, and fighting. Having first crossed paths during high school, the members forwarded a demo tape to the Radical label and quickly secured a deal that led to their initial full-length album. Don Fury, noted for prior work with Sick of It All and CIV, produced Feel the Pride, which appeared in April 2000, after which the Booked promoted the record by touring with Submachine and Inspecter 7.
