Biography
Between 1962 and 1965 the Brandywine Singers ranked among the most popular groups on the college folk circuit. Personal circumstances, the Vietnam War, and separate career paths then created an extended break. The Brandywines reunited in 1992 when original members Rick and Ron Shaw and Les Clark welcomed multi-talented multi-instrumentalist Taylor Whiteside into the fold. The outcome proved pure magic: folk music that recalled its popular heyday yet still sent chills up and down one’s spine, delivered through folk favorites beautifully sung, played, and arranged and seasoned with a couple of originals.
