Biography
Comprising twenty-four female vocalists recruited from regions throughout Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Voices--Angelite remained largely obscure beyond national borders until communism collapsed. After the Iron Curtain was raised, however, the ensemble embarked on repeated worldwide tours that repeatedly mesmerized listeners through an inimitable fusion of classical and folk idioms. Their catalog features A Cathedral Concert, From Bulgaria With Love, Fly, Fly My Sadness and Mountain Tale.
