Biography
Five musicians from Louisiana, stepping away temporarily from their work alongside Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, united to establish the Cajun Playboys, a band firmly grounded in tradition. Drummer Kevin Dugas, who had previously performed as a veteran member of Belton Richard's band and Walter Mouton & the Scott Playboys, guided the ensemble in reviving such enduring Cajun and zydeco selections as "J'Ai Été au Bal," "Colinda," "Lafayette Breakdown," "Port Arthur Blues," "Allons a Lafayette," "Les Flammes D'Enfer," and "Pine Grove Blues."
