Biography
The Washington DC quartet known as The Castaway Stones, assembled from former members of Glo-Worm, Black Tambourine, and The Sharpiros, generated its own wave of 1960s-inspired indie-pop. The group’s first outing arrived as the Leave No Stone Unturned EP in 1999 on Shelflife Records, whose recording of the band’s sound prompted comparisons to The Byrds, Love, and The Free Design. The following year Shelflife Records again supported The Castaway Stones for the release of their debut full-length, Make Love to You.
