Biography
The Centurys merged frat rock influences with those of garage rock, sporting a greaser look that contrasted sharply with the Rolling Stones, and they achieved substantial regional success in Pennsylvania through their Swan Records release "Hard Times." '60s garage rock enthusiasts, however, hold the group in high regard primarily due to the raw demos that surfaced in the 1980s. Even with their limited recording quality, these pieces deliver a gloomy appeal alongside a tough organ sound and the necessary disenchanted attitude.
