Biography
Hailing from Florida, the eight-piece Coldspot 8 fuses Motown-influenced soul, reggae, and ska into a distinctive regional sound. Layering a Latin rhythm atop their stripped-down Jamaican rocksteady foundation, the group eventually signed with Beatville, the ska imprint based in D.C. Their debut full-length, It's the Feelgood, appeared in 2000.
