Biography
Coloursound emerged when two seasoned participants in British rock crossed paths at a football match in the closing years of the 1990s and chose to work together. Mike Peters, previously of the Alarm, and Billy Duffy, guitarist with the Cult, had already tested the partnership when Duffy supplied guitar parts for Peters’s solo album Rise in 1998. Formalising the venture as Coloursound, they signed with Velvel, Peters’s own label, and wrote and recorded twelve songs for their first album. Before its release the duo webcast basic demo tracks to fans on the Internet in order to measure audience response.
