Biography
An avant-garde jazz troupe called The Cosmosamatics emerged from an unusual assembly of jazz players, prominently featuring saxophonists Sonny Simmons and Michael Marcus. The pair took the lead in assembling the collective, recruiting their preferred associates while shaping a distinctly personal strain of jazz. At the dawn of the new millennium the band issued two self-titled albums that included drummer Jay Rosen and bassist Curtis Lundy among the supporting musicians.
