Biography
In 2001 the County Medical Examiners began as a Carcass tribute act before the gore-obsessed grindcore trio developed an independent body of grotesque work. Guitarist Dr. Morton Fairbanks, drummer Dr. Jack Putnam, and bassist Michelle Hayes formed the original roster that delivered the debut album Forensic Fugues and Medicolegal Medleys on Razorback Records in 2002. The following year Hayes departed to pursue medical school, after which Dr. Guy Radcliffe joined on bass. Relapse Records issued the band’s second album, the brutal and impossibly bloody Olidous Operettas, in 2007.
