Biography
In Newcastle, England, two mothers launched the Crayonettes, a quirky and genre-bending children’s music duo, after tiring of the purple dinosaur jams and cookie-cutter sing-alongs flooding the market. Mercury Prize-nominated singer/songwriter Kathryn Williams and Anna Spencer, a former member of Newcastle punk outfit Delicate Vomit, issued the pair’s debut album under the Crayonettes moniker, Playing Out: Songs for Children and Robots, in 2010.
