Forming an enigmatic progressive ensemble from San Francisco were Lee Graham on vocals, bass, and flute, alongside John Garborit handling lead guitar, Ted Sheffler at the keyboards, Dick Powell with his harmonica, and Rod Pilloud behind the drums. Their sole release, The Love Cycle, included a daringly extended title track that sought to encapsulate a broad spectrum of the city’s innovative musical approaches. Though the effort fell short of full success, Crome Cyrcus earned recognition for their bold vision, securing a Bay Area songwriting award in 1969. The band, however, disbanded shortly after.
