Biography

Over the course of many years, Pittsburgh's Cynics have displayed notable musical development, a lasting achievement credited to guitarist Gregg Kostelich and singer Michael Kastelic for sustaining the band's '60s garage/punk/folk/psychedelic visions of tender love and hard breakups. Drawing on a revolving lineup of bassists and drummers, Kostelich and Kastelic have issued five genre-spanning albums via Kostelich's own indie-wunderkind label, Get Hip.
