Biography
During the Summer of Love in 1967, Shel Le, Camille, Rosemary Lane, and Dee Dee Lea united to establish the trippy-meets-poppy Daisy Chain. This Fullerton, CA, all-girl band delivered its debut full-length, Straight or Lame, the following year on United International, only to fade from sight shortly thereafter. Rosemary Lane later supplied backup vocals for Jackson Browne, yet the remaining Daisy Chain members stayed removed from the music industry, leaving the group referenced solely by the most dedicated collectors of psychedelic pop. Those same enthusiasts received welcome news in 2005 when Sundazed reissued Straight or Lame on CD in original mono, complete with fresh liner notes that featured interviews with the band members.
