Biography
Hailing from Lubbock, Texas, the Dead See—originally called Plague of Locusts—features vocalist and guitarist Mark Key alongside guitarist Neil Barrett, bassist Marcos Morales, and drummer Josh Paul. The quartet's crushing approach takes cues from Mastodon's modern metal, Neurosis's progressive post-hardcore, and the Southern sludge of Crowbar and Rwake. After issuing an independent EP, the group signed to Pluto Records and delivered its first full-length album, Through the Veil, in 2007.
