Biography
Forming briefly in Rhode Island, the garage punk outfit the Delinquents managed to issue a lone EP before disbanding, which led many locals to regard the group as the first genuine punk act to emerge from the nation’s smallest state. Its roster featured Vinnie Earnshaw on vocals and bass, Slug Druggist handling vocals and guitars, and Deadman at the drums; after those initial activities the trio stayed silent for roughly two decades until the 2003 compact-disc appearance of It Is What It Ain’t on the Rock of Eighties label. Earnshaw subsequently collaborated with several recognized figures in garage and punk circles, among them Jerry Nolan.
