Biography
The G-funk trio the Dove Shack, formed in Long Beach, California, brought together Bo-Roc, C-Knight, and 2Scoops. Their first appearance came in 1994 when they supplied the cut “This Is the Shack” to Warren G’s Regulate...G Funk Era, displaying a command of rugged verses paired with tuneful refrains atop relaxed, funk-driven beats. The full-length This Is the Shack followed on RAL (Rush Associated Labels) in August 1995, climbing to number 68 on the Billboard 200; within that set, “Summertime in the LBC” emerged as the standout single. Activity then quieted, though the group resurfaced with the 2006 album Reality Has Got Me Tied Up.
