The Ebb and Flow, an experimental pop/rock trio, pull from the guitar-driven intensity of 1970s progressive rock, the expansive intellectual textures of Krautrock, and the tuneful synth-driven pop of the early 1980s, shaping a rock & roll hybrid equally innovative and respectful toward its vivid predecessors. Drummer Sara Cassetti, guitarist/bassist/vocalist Sam Tsitrin, and keyboardist/vocalist Christian Hanlon form the lineup; after issuing multiple EPs, the band delivered its first full-length album in 2005. Three Ring Records issued Time to Echolocate, which was captured in a single day with San Francisco-based engineer Aaron Prellwitz (Neil Young, Cex, Sun Kil Moon) at the helm. Later that year, during late summer, the Ebb and Flow launched a national tour.
