Biography
Formed in Czechoslovakia, the ambient collective the Ecstasy of St. Theresa assembled an ensemble that included vocalist/keyboardist Irna Libowitz, sound designers Jan Muchow and Petr Wegner, bassist Jan Gregar, guitarist John Moore, multi-instrumentalist Misa Klimkova, keyboardist Colin Stuart, flautist Vladimira Jestrabova, and percussionist Katie Hecker. Their first recording appeared in 1993 as the EP ...fluidtrance centauri..., with a return the next year via the full-length Free-D (Original Soundtrack) produced by Guy Fixsen. From that point forward the only additional Ecstasy of St. Theresa release was the remix EP Astrala Vista, though the group sustained an active schedule of live performances.
