Biography
During the new wave and power pop surge of 1979 and 1980, Capitol/EMI signed the East Coast quintet led by vocalist Carl Worner. The group delivered its first full-length release, Current Events, in 1980. Although the record revealed the band’s wide stylistic range and inventive approach, it failed to achieve strong sales. Their 1981 follow-up, State of Shock, represented a clear advance in quality, yet it attracted few additional listeners and received limited radio exposure. Recording sessions for a third album were begun, but the band disbanded before the project reached completion.
