Biography
Empire State, an eclectic electronic/post-rock group, comprises brothers Jay and Tim Nackashi, who also belong to Beekeeper, together with Alex McManus, whose additional collaborations encompass Vic Chesnutt and Lambchop. Their self-titled debut album, issued in early 2001, presented the ensemble’s singular blend of sampled sounds, homemade inventions, and conventional instruments.
