Biography
The Epoxies deliver an explosive set of punk rock tracks driven by emphatic new wave and pop currents, establishing themselves as a bold force within the genre. Originating in Portland, OR, during 2000, the five-member group is fronted by vocalist Roxy Epoxy and completed by Shock Diode on bass, Viz Spectrum on guitar, Doctor Grip on drums, and Moxie Static on keyboards and vocals. Their initial output, the single "We Are Sold Out," appeared on Seattle-based Dirtnap Records and demonstrated the ensemble’s inventive skill alongside its daring compositions, thereby clearing the route to a full-length recording. March 2002 brought the Epoxies’ self-titled debut album, again issued by the Dirtnap imprint, which extended their punk rock profile well past state lines. Stop the Future followed on Fat Wreck in May 2005. Metropolis Records acquired the band in 2007 and issued the EP My New World that August.
