Biography
The Everyday Visuals originated in New Hampshire during 2002 yet soon moved their base to Boston. Their melodic pop style, built around dense vocal layers and the solid compositions of Christopher Pappas, quickly positioned the band as New England’s leading unsigned prospect. Pappas had first teamed with drummer Joe Seiders in 1996, issuing multiple albums as Pawn Unction before that project dissolved in the early 2000s. The pair carried their collaboration forward by forming the Everyday Visuals, initially a trio rounded out by guitarist Kyle Fredrickson. Media Crush appeared in 2004; shortly afterward Eli Sheer joined on guitar, enabling the group to saturate its recordings with layered harmonies. Things Will Look Up, issued in 2007, leaned heavily on those vocals and reflected the band’s clear admiration for the Beach Boys and the Beatles. A self-titled third album followed in 2009, after which the Everyday Visuals undertook their most ambitious touring schedule to that point.
