Biography
Formed in South London in 1975, the Exits featured Colin Swan on bass, Geno Buckmaster on guitar, John Clarkston on keyboards, and Gary Hurley on drums. Late-70s mod-revivalists, the group earned lasting regard among aficionados for the mod staple "The Fashion Plague." In 1978 they boarded the movement launched by the Jam, issuing their lone single through Lightning Records. Swan and Buckmaster then dissolved the Exits in November 1980 to establish The Direct Hits.
