Biography
Emerging in the wake of the Texas metal outfit Embodyment's dissolution, the Famine—headquartered in Dallas, though one member resided in New York—channeled an affinity for southern metal acts such as Pantera into their first album. Between the group's reformation and the 2008 street date of that debut, The Raven and the Reaping on Solid State, core members Chris McCaddon, Mark Garza, and Andy Godwin progressed from a casual musical reunion among friends to a dedicated, full-time recording and touring unit.
