The Farm Inc.

Emerging from a 2010 songwriting gathering in Tennessee, the FARM formed as a country trio whose sound draws on a wide spectrum of influences spanning rock to R&B. Nick Hoffman, Kenny Chesney's longtime fiddle player, joined Damien Horne, a John Rich discovery and protégé, and Krista Marie, a solo artist who had charted a couple of singles with Broken Bow Records. The three collaborated with songwriter and producer Danny Myrick, co-writer of Jason Aldean's "She's Country," and developed material around a fiddle riff Hoffman originated. The vocalists found they blended instantly as a trio, giving rise to the FARM. Their first public performance took place in October of that year before several Warner Music executives, including label head John Esposito, who signed the group to Warner's Elektra Records. Elektra issued the single "Home Sweet Home," built on the same fiddle riff that sparked the trio's formation, at the end of summer 2011. Their debut album, The Farm Inc., Nashville, TN, appeared in summer 2012.
