Hailing from Seattle, the dance-punk group the Fitness comprises vocalist Bree Nichols, singer/guitarist Tom Bridgman, guitarist Rebeka Dunbar, and keyboardist Adam Finn. Their fusion of new wave, synth pop, and punk first surfaced in 2002, when the Fitness launched local performances backing acts such as the Epoxies, Stereo Total, the Streets, the Postal Service, the Gossip, Audio Bullys, and W.I.T. After inking a deal with Control Group, the band issued its debut album, Call Me for Together, during fall 2003. The following spring brought continued touring, highlighted by multiple dates supporting Fannypack.
