Biography
The Michigan folk-rock ensemble known as the Four of Us hailed from Grosse Pointe and now primarily serves in historical accounts as the initial platform that propelled Glenn Frey toward his eventual role in the Eagles. Their discography actually emerged prior to the singer's enlistment, beginning around 1965 when they contributed a version of Bob Dylan's "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" to a compilation album that highlighted performances at the Hideout, a nearby teen venue. Following this, the quartet released two 45s consisting of "You're Gonna Be Mine" alongside their take on the Byrds' "Feel a Whole Lot Better." Once Frey came aboard shortly thereafter, his time in the group did not last long before he established the Subterraneans as his next project, leaving minimal additional details available about the Four of Us.
