Biography
Forming a neo-synth-pop duo known as The Foxglove Hunt, Ronnie Martin and Rob Withem joined forces after prior musical endeavors. Having first worked alongside his brother Jason Martin in Dance House Children, Martin subsequently issued albums as Joy Electric. His production work on Fine China's debut album When the World Sings took place in 2000, coinciding with Withem's involvement in that band. Following the 2006 dissolution of Fine China, Withem and Martin initiated a remote collaboration. Songs originated from Withem, who created demos and forwarded them to Martin's home studio located in Riverside, CA, where synthesizer arrangements were programmed by Martin. The pair eventually convened at Flying Blanket Recording in Mesa, AZ, to add Withem's vocals and guitar during structured sessions. This process yielded the duo's first album, Stop Heartbeat, which Common Wall Media LLC issued on March 25, 2008.
