Biography
Little information survives about the ensemble that secured a contract with Pye Records and borrowed its name from a Bob Dylan composition, yet the members showed no hesitation in recording covers of “Snoopy vs. the Red Baron” and the Kinks’ “Too Much on My Mind.” At peak form they produced vigorous soul stompers marked by noticeable charisma, although the absence of any distinctive character prevented them from cultivating an audience outside the clubs that already embraced them. The group dissolved in 1967 once it had issued its third and final single.
