Biography
Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, the German Art Students operate as a quartet devoted to quirk-rock. Bass and vocals fall to Andy, while Annelies covers vocals, keyboards, and guitar and describes herself as a recovering folk artist; Kirk supplies guitar and vocals, and Randy rounds out the group on drums and vocals. The band issued its debut album, What Did You Expect? Heartland Rock?, in 2001.
