Originating from Bamberg, Germany, the Go Faster Nuns channel energetic punk & roll through their self-described beatpunk approach, positioned between the Who and Black Flag while adding ample Devo-esque melodies. The quartet tracked its opening self-titled single during summer 1999 and issued it to positive notices from assorted German fanzines. A split single shared with Italy's Willy Wonkas arrived in August 2000, after which the debut album Teenage Love Beats surfaced in 2001 and again drew strong press enthusiasm. Continued roadwork across Germany, Holland, Belgium, and Italy swelled their following and positioned the Go Faster Nuns alongside Leatherface, Snuff, and the Turbo A.C.'s. An extended studio stay preceded the return of vocalist/percussionist D.D. Windisch, drummer Rue del Gado, bassist Mr. Spaceboy, and guitarist T. van Guyzyfer with the punk-laced, dance-ready follow-up Under Neon Light, which Go Kart Records Europe released in March 2005 before it reached North American stores a year later.
