Biography
In mid-2002, after Spirit Caravan disbanded, stoner rock godfather Scott "Wino" Weinrich declared plans to join Place of Skulls, the band fronted by guitarist Victor Griffin of Pentagram fame. Concurrently he launched the Hidden Hand with Maryland natives Bruce Falkinberg (bass/vocals) and Dave Hennessy (drums). The trio’s first album, 2003’s Divine Propaganda, preserved the essential sonic traits of Wino’s lengthy career—traditional heavy metal and doom blended with punk rock’s spare, D.I.Y. aesthetics—while directing fresh attention toward social and political concerns.
